Businesses Honored at Pinnacle Awards
The Jackson Area Chamber of Commerce honored the best and brightest businesses in the area with the 2010 Pinnacle Awards, Tuesday evening. The Pinnacle Awards recognize achievement of area businesses that set the highest standards of accomplishment. Awards are given in the following categories: Emerging Business, Small and Large Non-Profit of the Year, Small and Large Industry of the Year, Pinnacle Awards, Stepping Stone and Cornerstone. Three businesses were honored with Emerging Business awards. They are Behavioral Outreach Services, LLC, Mainstream Green Solutions and Solus Performance Training. The Small Non-Profit of the Year was awarded to West Tennessee Hearing and Speech Center. The Large Non-Profit of the Year award went to Madison-Haywood Developmental Services. Pinnacle Awards were handed out in three different categories for companies of varying sizes. In the 1-14 employee category Steele, Martin, Jones and Company, PLC was recognized. In the 15-49 employee category Sylvan Learning Center was honored. And in the 50 or more employee category Hamilton-Ryker Company received the award. In the Industry category, U.S. Silica Company received the Small Industry of the Year, while Bodine Aluminum was awarded the Large Industry of the Year award. The Chamber recognized an outstanding business who has been in the community for five to 19 years with the Stepping Stone Award. Parkway Animal Hospital received that honor. The final award of the evening was the Cornerstone Award, which is presented to a company that has reached long-standing success and been a part of the company for 20 or more years. The award was given to Regional Hospital of Jackson.
