Ballet about Jackson History This Weekend
Dancer with Ballet Arts of Jackson take the stage at the Carl Perkins Civic Center this weekend with a unique tale about the history of the Hub City. Students were treated to a special performance of “Classical Jackson”, Friday. The program is broken down into three segments with something for everyone. “Tales of Beatrix Potter”, featuring Peter Rabbit to excerpts from the 19th Century ballet “Paquita” to the new classical creation telling the story of Jackson past. “Everyone is delighted, from the young ones to the folks that remember different history aspects because of the multi-media experience at the end is just quite spectacular,” said Janna Hellums, with the Ballet Art Board. Tickets are available through Ballet Arts or at the Carl Perkins Civic Center Box Office. Prices range from $25 to $15.
