Case Against Person Dismissed
The case of a Jackson man charged with having sex with his roommate, but never telling him he was HIV positive has been dismissed. Charges of criminal exposure to HIV were dropped on Tony Person, 42, in city court. The judge ordered the dismissal because the alleged victim did not appear at a hearing on the case for the second time. According to police, Person’s 29-year-old roommate told then in January he made the discovery after fining HIV related medication at the home they shared. According to the arrest warrant, Person admitted to his roommate that he did not tell him because he did not know how to.
