A Jackson man was arrested Monday for allegedly biting off another man‘s finger more than four months ago. John Edward Clark, 45, is charged with Aggravated Assault in the 2010 incident. Investigators report that, on November 26, 2010, a St. Louis, MO man was in town visiting. Around 10:45 p.m., while at the Sunset Café on Middle Avenue, he became involved in an argument with a man who he had never met. As the St. Louis man was about to leave, the suspect grabbed his hand, bit a part of his finger off and spit it on the floor. The victim and the detached part of his finger were taken to a local hospital, but attempts to reattach the part of the finger but were unsuccessful. Investigators identified Clark as the suspect. He is scheduled to be formally arraigned Wednesday at 8:00 a.m. in Jackson City Court.
