A Jackson man accused of biting off another man’s finger during a confrontation is still in jail after a Wednesday morning court appearance. John Edward Clark, 45, appeared in Jackson City Court, charged with aggravated assault in connection with a November 2010 argument that ended with a 43-year-old man from St. Louis losing part of his finger. Investigators said the two men were at the Sunset Cafe in east Jackson, when Clark grabbed the victim’s hand, bit part of his finger off, and spit it on the floor. Clark is being held on $50,000 bond and returns fro a preliminary hearing on April 7.
