Three juveniles have been arrested and charged in connection with a series of North Jackson burglaries. According to Jackson police, the trio, whose identities were withheld due to their age, has been charged with aggravated burglary and theft of property over $500. All three suspects have appeared before Judge Christy Little for detention hearings. Two of the suspects were released to their parents pending a hearing. Police said the third remains in custody in the Madison County Juvenile Detention Center. According to investigators, on March 25, 2011 a homeowner on Woodmont Dr. was at home when a suspect kicked in the door. When confronted, the suspect fled, however the homeowner was able to provide a description of the suspect and the car in which he fled. Based on this information, three juvenile suspects were developed and taken into custody that night. Investigators said they were able to link the suspects to other burglaries that had occurred the same day on Raven‘s Rest and Bellwood. Investigators also recovered cash, jewelry, a gun and electronic items that were reported stolen in the burglaries. Investigators also believe that the suspects are responsible for other burglaries in the Sunhaven Dr., O‘Hara Ln. and Barrett Place areas. Investigators continue to gather evidence and interview witnesses in connection with these cases. While the investigation is ongoing, anyone with information is encouraged to contact the Property Crimes Unit at the Jackson Police Department at 425-8400 or Crime Stoppers at 424-TIPS (8477) or online at www.424tips.org
