Man Charged with Rape of a Child
A suspected child rapist went before a Benton County judge Wednesday. According to deputies, Kyle Tucker, 19, raped his wife’s young relative and bit his wife during a scuffle, all in the same night. Tucker now stands charged with rape and domestic assault. And upon further investigation, we found out that another county has similar charges against him. A slight shake of the head, that is all the emotion that could be seen on Tucker’s face, as the judge read Friday night’s account of what happened at a Camden house. James Hollingsworth, a neighbor, says, “It was a shock to me.” According to court papers, Tucker raped his wife’s young relative and then violently fought with his wife. Opal Robbins, a neighbor, adds, “If a man will do this to a young child, then he will do this to a woman of any age.” The fight, according to the arrest warrant went like this: Tucker ran after his wife, gave her a bear hug and squeezed her to the point where she could not breathe. Then after all that, he bit her on chin at least once. Hollingsworth, adds, “I’m thinking I’m glad they caught him.” A investigation by ABC 7 Eyewitness News found that Tucker is currently on probation for attempting to commit sexual battery in Carroll County. Last year he plead guilty to lesser charges, and was allowed to serve probation instead of jail time. Robbins, adds, “This is just something that goes on, and they’re not tough enough on these criminals. The laws need to be tougher on the men that break them. Neighbors will wait to see if there could be a tough sentence or not, when Tucker returns to court next month. Tucker is still in jail in lieu of a $100,000 bond.
