Nashville Sex Offender Arrested in Jackson
A convicted sex offender wanted in Nashville in headed back to middle Tennessee after being arrested by Jackson police. John William Hardy, 39, was wanted by Metro Nashville police for a third offense of violating the sex offender registry law. Nashville officers picked him up from the Madison County Jail, Friday. Jackson police arrested him Thursday at a home on Charlotte Drive. Police were made aware of Hardy after a local business, where he had applied for a job, contacted officers because they were concerned about what they had uncovered in their own background check of Hardy. State records show Hardy was convicted of sexual battery in 2004 in Madison County.
