Windy, Stormy Weather Developing Across Tenn.
Weather forecasters are predicting heavy downpours of rain and the potential for severe storms as a weather system moves into Tennessee. A wind advisory was issued Tuesday morning by The National Weather Service for all of West Tennessee and most of Middle Tennessee, except for the Cumberland Plateau. It was effective until 7 p.m. CDT. Forecasters say most of this week will feature the chance of rain and thunderstorms each day into the weekend. At Memphis, storms were expected late Tuesday night after high temperatures in the upper 80s. Some could bring heavy rain and destructive winds. In Nashville, the storms were expected to begin in the early morning hours Wednesday. Storms are expected to begin in Knoxville, Chattanooga and the Tri-Cities after 8 a.m. EDT on Wednesday.
