Autopsy results for a Weakley County couple found shot to death over the weekend are back, confirming the shooting was an apparent murder-suicide. According to investigators with the Weakley County Sheriff’s Office, the shootings likely stemmed from a fight between Devnee Renee Reeder, 42, and Matt Bennett, 35, who recently started dating and apparently moved in together back in June. Deputies said Bennett fatally shot Reeder with a 40 caliber handgun, then took his own life. They said it likely stemmed from a domestic dispute that got out of hand. “There were some male clothes that were removed out of one closet that were layed near the door to the garage that appeared maybe someone was leaving that she was putting him out,” said Investigator Candice Winstead, with the Weakley County Sheriff’s Office. Investigators said they had never received any calls about domestic violence from this couple in the past.
