McKenzie Partnering with Banks to Help Entrepreneurs
Whether they are wanting to improve their small business or start one from the ground up, the city of McKenzie is offering step-by-step seminars to help local entrepreneurs. Starting Monday night, the city of McKenzie is offering its first eight week seminar to teach business owners or prospective business owners everything from financing, to marketing, to legal advise. At the end of the seminars, local banks will take a look at the participant’s business plans and possibly provide finances for their ideas. Mayor Jill Holland said the program is designed to improve the presence of small businesses in the area. “We have bankers that will come in, we have someone that will come in and teach them how to draw up a business plan. We will also have a session on financing your business,” said Holland. The seminars cost $50; however, participants will be refunded once all eight sessions are completed.
