Charles Byrd Resigns as Madison County Attorney

Madison County is looking for anew county attorney after their current lawyer is resigning. In his letter of resignation, Charles Byrd, Junior said in the last year the north branch of his practice experienced unanticipated growth., Byrd said he is unable to dedicate the attention to both his private practice and county attorney demands. Byrd has served as county attorney for just over a year. He told commissioners that he will continue to serve until a replacement is found. Byrd served as a county commissioner before resigning to become county attorney.
