Police Respond to Morning Crash in East Jackson

A late-morning wreck in east Jackson, Wednesday tied up traffic and sent two people to the hospital. The head-on collision happened in the 1700 block of East Chester Street around 10:30 a.m. At this point, police have not said what might have caused a truck and a car to collide. Witnesses said two people were taken by ambulance from the scene. Police told 7 Eyewitness News their injuries appear to be non-life threatening. “They go so fast,” said Jill Henke, an East Chester Resident. “The speed limit changes from there to here and you don’t have enough time to slow down or they don’t choose to, so it’s always gonna be trouble right here.” The investigation into the crash continues.
