Shooting at Jackson Best Buy Store

JACKSON, Tenn. – Jackson police are investigating a shooting that occurred at the Best Buy store on Vann Drive. People on the scene told 7 Eyewitness News that the gunman fired several shots at his estranged fiance who was working at the store. The woman suffered at least one gunshot wound to the head. The suspect reportedly paced back and forth in the store while firing his gun. Witnesses said he then walked into the parking lot and pointed the gun to his head before being tased by officers. According to witnesses, the victim was awake and talking as she was taken to the hospital. She has since been transported to The MED in Memphis and is listed in critical condition. The shooting is believed to be the result of a domestic dispute. Police have not released the name of the alleged shooter, but he is expected to be charged with attempted first degree murder.
