Multiple Robberies Reported In Jackson Overnight

JACKSON, Tenn. – Jackson police received several armed robbery calls early Wednesday morning. According to authorities, two people were assaulted and robbed around midnight. The suspects reportedly only got away with a couple of backpacks filled with college textbooks. Just hours later, Jackson police say several men armed with handguns and their faces covered walked into two Jackson businesses and demanded money. The suspects hit the Comfort Suites in Jackson around 2:00 a.m. and minutes later walked into the Phillips 66 on Hollywood Drive. According to Jackson Police they have arrested three people who they believe were involved in the robberies. Authorities said they did find the car used in the robberies abandoned. The suspects have not been officially charged at this time.
