Madison County Republicans host Reagan Day Dinner with Riley Gaines

JACKSON, Tenn. (WBBJ) – Union University hosted the Ronald Reagan dinner for Madison County Republicans, an event focused on discussing Republican values and raising money for the party.

State Rep. John Rose attended the event.

“Been to a lot of these events, met with a lot of Tennesseans, and it’s always uplifting to hear their stories and hear about their lives,” Rose said.

Riley Gaines served as keynote speaker and shared her experiences as a voice representing younger Republicans.

“I’m super duper excited to be here. The theme of tonight’s event is kind of like passing the baton to the younger generation, so to see so many young people, college students, even some high school students that are here, I think especially seeing so many young women, I feel super encouraged, I feel super hopeful and optimistic about the future,” Gaines said.

All tables for the fundraiser included eight seats with dinner. For an additional price, guests had the chance to take pictures with the keynote speaker.

Organizers say events like this help supporters connect ahead of the election season.
