Violence Against Women Hearing
VIOLENCE AGAINST WOMEN HEARING IN GIBSON COUNTY The Tennessee Economic Council on Women, in conjunction with the UT Extension Service Family & Consumer Sciences Agents will hold a Violence Against Women Hearing in Trenton, on Thursday, June 20 beginning at 1 p.m. at the Gibson County Extension Office, located at 1252 Manufacturers Row in Trenton. Officials from Health Care, Law Enforcement, the Judicial System and Social Service Agencies, among many others, will testify about the cost of crimes related to Domestic Violence, Sexual Assault and Human Sex Trafficking in the nine northwest Tennessee counties (Henry, Weakley, Dyer, Gibson, Obion, Carroll, Benton, Lake, & Crockett). Local vendors will be on site from WRAP, Northwest SafeLine, West TN Legal Service and many more.
