Woman Dies Following Crash in Jackson

JACKSON, Tenn.- A Jackson woman has died as a result of injuries that she received following a two-vehicle crash on July 25. Jackson police identified her as Patricia J. Bomar, 62, who died Friday at Jackson-Madison County General Hospital. Investigators said she was attempting to turn from Holiday Dr. onto North Highland Avenue from a stop sign. As she crossed the southbound land of Highland she was struck in the driver’s side by a vehicle traveling south on Highland. The driver of the second vehicle was not injured in the crash. Investigators said the cause of the crash was that Bomar failed to yield. There were no indications of alcohol or excessive speed. Both drivers were wearing a seat belt.
