Attempted Burglary Ends Early

JACKSON, Tenn– A Jackson man is in custody after an attempted burglary early this morning that ended rather strangely. Edward Rucker, 19, is charged with aggravated burglary and vandalism under $500 after kicking down the door of an apartment on the 800 block of Old Hickory Boulevard. After kicking down the door, officers say that Rucker was found hiding in a closet in the residence. Although Rucker did not steal anything, investigators are looking into whether he is responsible for the other home burglaries in the area. Rucker will make his first court appearance tomorrow morning.
