Smoke blows from vents, students evacuated

KINGSPORT, Tenn. (AP) – Students at a northeast Tennessee school have been evacuated after smoke began pouring from ducts.

Hawkins County Emergency Management Agency Director Gary Murrell told the Kingsport Times-News (http://bit.ly/1cFObrt ) no flames were visible at Bulls Gap School, but heavy smoke was blown into some classrooms Thursday morning from an apparent fire in the heat and air ductwork.

The building was evacuated and two fire departments responded. No injuries were reported.

The school has classes from kindergarten through eighth grade.
