Discovery Park of America Opens to the Public

UNION CITY Tenn.- The Discovery Park of America officially opened to the Public Friday afternoon. Hundreds of people lined up outside the 50 acre museum and park to be the first ones to get a look inside. “Before we came in we heard them say it was a world class thing, and it hit home to me because it really is,” said Martin resident, Jeff Robertson. The ten exhibit galleries might be meant for education, but that didn’t stop parents and kids from having a good time. “I’m really excited,” Amelia Kingrey said. “I’ve been waiting on this a long time!” “We’ve never had anything like this to take our kids to and as a father to have something like this means so much,” Robertson said. The park said they had more than a thousand people attend their grand opening. The park will be open this weekend from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
