Concussion Clinic Held at JMCGH

JACKSON, Tenn.-Hundreds of people came out to Jackson-Madison County General Hospital Tuesday night to talk concussions. The hospital brought in three doctors from Vanderbilt Hospital to explain to parents the importance of concussion signs and symptoms.They also explained possible ways to prevent the injury. Officials said that early detection is crucial. “You have got to take care of that child first because later on down the road they may not be able to host or have a normal family life because of the things that happened that could have been very preventable,” said Leann Childerss of Sportplex Rehab Center. New child safety laws will be enforced starting January 1.
