Shots Fired on Rushmeade Road

JACKSON, Tenn.- Jackson’s latest shooting in a string of violence was in north Jackson, just before Noon, Tuesday. Those who live in the 900-block of Rushmeade Road called 911 after hearing at least four gunshots. Police searched the area and a house, but did not find any bullets or shells. Witnesses said they saw a silver car pull out of the home. Neighbors said they fear for their children’s safety. “Kids are getting off the school bus and kids are in this area. For somebody to be shooting, a bullet can hit anybody,” said Christine Yarbrough, who lives in the area. Nearby Jackson Christian School was put on lockdown, according to school officials.
