JACKSON, Tenn. – Jackson Police say a man is in critical condition after a car accident on the Highway 45 Bypass. The accident happened at approximately 12:30 a.m. on Wednesday near the intersection of Ashport Road and the Highway 45 Bypass. Officers say the driver went off of the road and ran into a pole. Firefighters were called to the scene of the accident, and cut the passenger out of the vehicle. Paramedics took that passenger to the Med in Memphis by a medical helicopter. Investigators say the passenger is in critical condition, but the driver is expected to be OK. We will have any updates on this accident as details become available.
