NORTH JACKSON — The Palace Cafe and Hookah Bar off Vann Drive reopened Thursday after being temporarily shut down last month by the city. The city of Jackson petitioned a court in October after they say police officers were called to the bar six times in 2 months. The city also raised concerns about private parties being held at the business. To prevent future problems, Joseph Hanson, the hookah bar manager, says they’ll close earlier each night. “I think we got this thing going and we’re gonna stay until 3 just like any other businesses and I hope no problem will ever happen again.” The Palace Cafe and Hookah Bar originally closed at 5 a.m.
