Man sentenced in sexual battery, kidnap case

PASCAGOULA, Miss. (AP) – A 28-year-old man who allegedly attacked and robbed a pizza delivery woman has been convicted in Jackson County Circuit Court.
The Mississippi Press reports (http://bit.ly/1bobG4X ) that Michael Tyron Moore Jr. pleaded guilty Friday to sexual battery, kidnapping and robbery in the Sept. 14 incident.
Prosecutors say Moore sexually assaulted and robbed the woman after luring her to an apartment complex.
Moore was sentenced to 30 years for sexual battery with 25 years to serve and five years post-release supervision.
He was sentenced to 35 years for kidnapping with 25 to serve and 10 years post-release supervision.
Moore was sentenced to 35 years for robbery with 25 to serve and 10 years post-release supervision.
The kidnapping and robbery prison sentences will run concurrent to the sexual battery sentence.
