3-year-old dies from hit-and-run injuries
JACKSON, Miss. (AP) – A 3-year-old child has died from injuries she suffered in a hit-and-run accident.
WLBT-TV reports (http://bit.ly/1gpXOf9 ) Kayzlyn Thomas, a member of the Mississippi Band of Choctaw Indians, was hit Dec. 5 in the parking lot of the Philadelphia Game Stop. Family members say she suffered head trauma as well as a broken arm and ribs and a bruised lung. She was pronounced dead Wednesday at Blair E. Batson Children’s Hospital.
The Philadelphia Police Department is seeking information about the driver who hit the child.
The child’s great aunt, Tarina McMillan, tells The Clarion-Ledger (http://on.thec-l.com/1e6mVnd ) she saw a woman in a dark Chevrolet TrailBlazer flee shortly after her niece was hit.
