Shooting raises city homicide toll to 10
GREENVILLE, Miss. (AP) – Greenville police say a 24-year-old man has died after being shot in the head Saturday outside a local nightclub.
The fatal shooting of LaMarcus Scott was the city’s 10th homicide in 2013.
Assistant Police Chief Andrew Kaho tells the Delta Democrat Times (http://bit.ly/1dkYWxu ) that police found Scott in the parking lot of the PM Lounge about 1:45 a.m. Saturday.
Kaho says Scott suffered gunshot wounds to the head and right leg.
Scott was airlifted to the University of Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson, where he died at 11:49 p.m. Saturday.
Kaho says the case is under investigation.
