Vehicle with no license plate led to bogus money
WAVELAND, Miss. (AP) – Waveland police seized counterfeit money and arrested a couple, one of them wanted, after pulling over a vehicle that had no license plate.
Police Chief David Allen tells The Sun Herald (http://bit.ly/JpYJyh ) 39-year-old Alton Emerson Morgan II was wanted in Texas on a grand larceny charge, and was in possession of bogus $100 and $20 bills.
Police arrested Morgan and his driver, 32-year-old Angela Nicole Sullivan, of Philadelphia, on Friday night after a traffic stop on U.S. 90.
Police also found several purchases believed to be paid for with counterfeit money at businesses from Philadelphia to South Mississippi.
It was unclear whether Morgan and Sullivan have attorneys.
