Community Safety Meeting Canceled, Will Resume Next Week

JACKSON, Tenn. — The event scheduled Tuesday by the the Jackson-Madison County emergency management agency has been canceled due to the weather in the area. The program was set to be at Northeast Middle School Tuesday As of right now, organizers say next week’s meeting will go on as planned. During the next month, the Jackson-Madison County Emergency Management Agency is hosting a series of Community Safety Awareness programs beginning Tuesday. Local emergency responders will be on hand to answer questions. “They can get a chance to ask questions, you know, things that haven’t been brought up before, so just, you know, an educational type deal as well as getting them better prepared,” Marty Clements said, EMA director for Jackson-Madison County. The programs will take place at 6:30 p.m. every Tuesday around the county.
