Fourth Annual YV5K Jackson
Registration is open for the fourth annual YV5K in Jackson. The race will take place Saturday, March 15 at 3 p.m. at The Ballpark at Jackson, located at 4 Fun Place, Jackson, TN 38305. Proceeds will benefit Youth Villages‘ programs in West Tennessee. Youth Villages is a private nonprofit organization that helps emotionally and behaviorally troubled children and their families live successfully. Runners can register online at www.yvraces.org. Pre-race registration is also available on Friday, March 14 from noon – 6 p.m. at Dicks Sporting Goods, located at 1165 Vann Drive, Jackson, TN 38305. The cost to participate is $20 for those who pre-register. Runners can also register on site on the day of the race from 2 – 2:45 p.m. The cost to participate is $25 on the day of the race. The YV5K Jackson is part of the new YV RACES series benefitting Youth Villages. Runners can participate in any of the different racing events in the series or register for a trio of 5Ks. For more information, visit www.yvraces.org. Kids ages 4-10 can also participate in a fun run around the warning track at The Ballpark at Jackson. The cost to participate is $5, and registration will be available on site on the day of the race. Following the race, participants can enjoy food, drinks, live music and children‘s activities. Awards will be presented at 4:30 p.m. Awards will also be presented for best costume and the team that raises the most money over $500.
