Fire at abandoned home deemed suspicious

WEST JACKSON — After a house burns down on Tuesday night, fire officials are now saying it was intentionally set. Police say the house, located on Prospect Avenue, was abandoned at the time of the fire. However, a witness says three people were running from the vacant house just minutes before smoke was seen coming from the building. The case is still under investigation.
