National Public Lands Day Lake Clean-up
Chickasaw State Park will be hosting a lake clean up day at Lake Placid in honor of National Public lands Day. The clean up will involve using the park’s fishing boats as well as hiking around the lake shore to restore the lake to its natural beauty and to make a cleaner, better habitat for the lake’s ecosystem. Lake Placid is the Lake at the park’s main site and is a beautiful lake for fishing, canoes and kayaks, or for renting a paddle boat. There is also swimming from the swim beach. Please wear appropriate attire for the work and the weather. The park hopes to see you there!
