Tennessee woman charged with lying to get money
MORRISTOWN, Tenn. (AP) – An eastern Tennessee woman has been charged with lying about a field trip for her six-year-old daughter as part of a scam to collect cash for herself.
WVLT-TV in Knoxville reported (http://bit.ly/1x40bca ) that 23-year old Joslynn Munsey of Morristown went door-to-door asking for money to fund a trip to Disney World.
Police say there was no trip and Munsey collected $40.
Police arrested Munsey on Friday night and took the child to a shelter for youths.
Jail records did not list an attorney for Munsey.
