Missing Tennessee boy found in Atlanta

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) – Nashville police say an 11-year-old boy who went missing has been located safe in Atlanta.

Officers told WSMV-TV in Nashville (http://bit.ly/1zkViBb ) that Atlanta police saw Nathan Long in the downtown area Tuesday morning. Long went missing from his north Nashville home Monday night.

The boy told police he took a Megabus from Tennessee to Georgia and initially gave a fake name and said he lived in Indianapolis.

A DFCS worker learned of Long’s disappearance in Nashville and sent a photo of him to detectives who, along with Long’s mother, positively identified him.

Police say Long’s mother also spoke to her son by phone after he was identified.

Megabus spokesman Sean Hughes says the company is investigating how Long was able to board the bus without an adult accompanying him.
