73-year-old woman dies in East Tennessee house fire
JONESBOROUGH, Tenn. (AP) – East Tennessee authorities say a 73-year-old woman has died in a fire at her home.
The Washington County Sheriff’s Office said Rebecca Loraine Oakes was identified as the victim of the fire Sunday night in the Telford community, about six miles southwest of Jonesborough.
Officials were called at about 11:20 p.m., and firefighters found the home fully engulfed in flames when they arrived.
No foul play is suspected.
