Council selects 3 names to fill judgeship
NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) – Gov. Bill Haslam’s Council for Judicial Appointments has selected the names of three candidates to potentially replace retiring Circuit Court Judge Jim T. Hamilton in Middle Tennessee.
The council submitted the names of the attorneys to Haslam on Friday afternoon after interviewing the candidates and conducting a vote. The governor will pick one to fill the court vacancy in the 22nd Judicial District, which oversees Giles, Lawrence, Maury and Wayne counties.
The council recommended David L. Allen of Lawrenceburg and N. Houston Parks ia and Leland Bruce Peden, both of Columbia.
