Victim advocacy group to host presentation

MEMPHIS, Tenn. (AP) – Tennessee victim advocacy group You Have the Power will hold a presentation on sexual assault prevention next week in Memphis.

The public event is scheduled for May 14 from noon to 1:30 p.m. at the Urban Child Institute.

Attendees will learn how to identify signs of inappropriate behavior, correctly report suspected behavior, and become aware of available resources and tactics for prevention.

You Have the Power is celebrating its 22nd year as a statewide victim advocacy nonprofit organization.

Founded by former Tennessee first lady Andrea Conte, its mission is to educate and empower people and communities impacted by violent crime.
