Man in court on charge of strangling girlfriend

DOWNTOWN JACKSON — A man was in Jackson City Court Wednesday on accusations of strangling his girlfriend during an argument. Police say Charles Brown grabbed his girlfriend around the neck during an altercation Tuesday at their Lennon Cove home, according to court papers. Brown also is accused of poking the woman in the eye with his finger during the incident, the documents state. Brown is charged with aggravated domestic assault. He is being held in lieu of a $7,500 bond.
