DOWNTOWN JACKSON — A man was in city court Tuesday to face a charge stemming from an undercover prostitution sting. Joseph Langlinais is charged with patronizing prostitution after police say he used the website www.backpage.com to arrange to meet an undercover officer March 13 at a Jackson hotel, according to an affidavit. Officers say he provided money for sex when he arrived. The investigation was a joint operation by the Jackson Police Department, Madison County Sheriff’s Office and the Tennessee Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force, the affidavit states. Langlinais is free on a $2,500 bond.
