DOWNTOWN JACKSON — A man appeared Friday in Jackson City Court on multiple charges stemming from an alleged robbery and kidnapping at a Jackson apartment. Dontavious Martez Bond is accused of forcing his way into a woman’s apartment, holding her against her will and calling another man to come and steal her property, according to an affidavit. Police say the incident occurred around 8:30 p.m. May 18 when Bond knocked on the woman’s door at her Moize Cut Off Road apartment before forcing his way inside when she answered the door. Bond is accused of putting a weapon to the woman’s head and holding her inside the bathroom while he called another man to the apartment. The second suspect is accused of stealing a 47″ TV, a Samsung smartphone and the woman’s wallet containing $500 cash, according to the affidavit. Officers later developed Bond as a suspect, and the woman was able to identify him from a photo lineup, the document states. Bond is charged with aggravated kidnapping, aggravated robbery, aggravated burglary and possession of a firearm during the commission of a dangerous felony. He is being held in lieu of a $500,000 bond.
