Man charged with beating, strangling woman

DOWNTOWN JACKSON — A man faced a judge Tuesday on allegations of assaulting a woman and strangling her until she was unconscious. Jasper Bond is charged with aggravated domestic assault after allegedly punching, kicking and stomping a woman July 3 after becoming angry with her at an address in the 600 block of Skyline Drive, according to court documents. The woman told police Bond also strangled her until she was unconscious. Police say the woman suffered serious injuries. Bond’s bond is set at $5,000.
