MADISON COUNTY, Tenn. — A county commissioner resigned Monday after announcing she will be moving out of her district. Ann Harrell turned in her letter of resignation around 4 p.m. Monday, she told WBBJ 7 Eyewitness News. She has represented District 10 for three years. She said she wanted to resign now before the budget started over in January. The two other District Ten representatives are accepting applications for Harrell’s replacement. When they choose a candidate, the commission will vote on the replacement.
