Man arrested in Monday shooting

JACKSON, Tenn. — Police have arrested a man in a Monday night shooting in west Jackson. Officers arrested the suspect Tuesday morning and are continuing to question him, according to a release from the Jackson Police Department. Police have not yet released his name pending formal charges, the release states. Officers responded around 8:40 p.m. Monday to reported gunshots the 100 block of Hatton Street, according to the release. Police say a man had been shot at but was not hit. The investigation is ongoing, and anyone with information is asked to call Jackson police at 731-425-8400 or Crime Stoppers at 731-424-TIPS (8477).
