MIDTOWN JACKSON — A three-vehicle crash ties up an intersection Tuesday evening. The call went out around 5 p.m. for the accident at the intersection of Lambuth Boulevard and West Forest Avenue. First responders said three cars collided at the intersection. Police said one of the car’s brakes went out as it approached the intersection, leading to the crash. They said all three people involved are out of the cars and that one person was transported to a local hospital. West Forest Avenue currently is shut down between Lambuth Boulevard and Campbell Street as crews clear the cars from the intersection. At least one of the cars hit a utility pole, and Jackson Energy Authority personnel on scene said it will have to be replaced.
