UNION CITY, Tenn. — A man was arrested Sunday after a police officer on patrol saw him pull a handgun on a woman while the two were walking along the street, according to the Union City Police Department. An officer driving down Nash Street saw Marcus Taylor and a woman walking and heard them arguing as he drove by, according to a report. The officer watched them in his mirror after he passed them and saw Taylor draw a pistol and pull back the slide. As the officer turned around, Taylor reportedly walked over in front of a particular apartment before returning to the street. The officer went to check the area where Taylor had left the road and found a Ruger P95 pistol with the serial number scratched off, according to the report. Police say the pistol had one round in the chamber and one in the magazine. Taylor was taken into custody and charged with unlawful possession of a weapon with an altered serial number along with criminal trespass for walking onto Union City Housing property from which he was barred from entering in January, the report states. Taylor also reportedly head-butted the patrol car, causing a dent, and was charged with a count of vandalism, according to the report.
