Player of the Week: Andrew Goldsmith

Trinity Christian Academy’s Andrew Goldsmith is used to having the ball in his hands. But not from under center. Goldsmith transitioned to quarterback in Week 5 due to a suspension of his teammate. “I wasn’t as comfortable as I wanted to be at first,” Goldsmith said. “But as the game went on, it seemed to come natural.” Goldsmith finished the game with six total touchdowns and over 250 rushing yards. The senior will play quarterback again for the Lions in Week 6 against Riverside. “I learned it has to take time. It’s not going to click immediately,” Goldsmith said. “The first half, I really didn’t complete any passes.
