Week 6 Player of the Week: Malcolm Tipler

Less than 10 completions, a touchdown and barely a hundred passing yards doesn’t sound like anything special. But for Chester County’s Malcolm Tipler, those statistics earned him our Week 6 Player of the Week. The senior’s first game as quarterback resulted in a 17-13 region win against longtime rival Lexington. Tipler learned last Wednesday he may play under center due to his teammate’s illness. The 4-1 Eagles play Dyer County in Week 7. Player of the week nominations can be emailed to jwalters@wbbjtv.com. Weekly winners will be considered for 5th Quarter Player of the Year. Players of the Week Week 1 – Kylin Wynn (McNairy Central) Week 2 – Cal Gobbell (Hardin Co.) Week 3 – Thomas Kimmel, Jr. (Scotts Hill) Week 4 – Williams Jones (USJ) Week 5 – Andrew Goldsmith (TCA) Week 6 – Malcolm Tipler (Chester Co.)
