Nearly 10 locals named Mr. Football semifinalists

Nine West Tennessee athletes learned they were being considered for the Tennessee Titans Mr. Football Awards on Thursday morning. USJ’s offensive lineman Trey Smith, Trinity Christian Academy’s Andrew Goldsmith, Union City’s lineman Jamison Blackwell, junior quarterback Dresser Winn from Dresden, Milan linebacker Christian Williams, Haywood defensive lineman Emmit Gooden, Lexington kicker Ryan Courtright, Gunner Osborn from Henry County and Lake County’s Stavonski Wilkes were all announced as semifinalists. Each standout is paired with three other semifinalists from the state in their category. The top two from each category will be revealed on Nov. 16. Those two will then be invited to the awards ceremony on Nov. 30 at the home of the Titans, Nissan Stadium.
