TRENTON, Tenn.-YMCA board members held a special meeting to address questions about the closing of the Y’s location in Trenton. As of now, any Trenton resident with questions about the facility’s future, or a refund is asked to contact city hall. Trenton’s YMCA was shut down on September 28. Now, Security Bank of Trenton will decide what to do with the equipment.
Many of that former location’s 600 members, appeared at Thursday night’s hearing. ‘We are going to try to do something to have a health facility here in Gibson County,” said Trenton Mayor Tony Burriss. Until last month, Trenton was the smallest city, in America, to have a YMCA location.
